Rae’von Wells currently serves as a Performance Coach for Athlete Training + Health, assisting all athletes to achieve their physical and psychological goals.
Before joining Athlete Training and Health in 2019, Rae’von served as a Seasonal Performance Coach for Michael Johnson Performance for three consecutive summers after graduating from McMurry in May of 2016. She also worked with Abilene Hawks Athletics and Action Zone Performance as a sports coach.
Playing collegiate women’s basketball and later serving as an assistant, Rae’von has impacted both sides of a collegiate program. She had the opportunity to intern under one of the nation’s leading strength and conditioning coaches, Bennie Wylie, as she looked for ways to integrate mental skills training into performance training. Believing that the way one thinks on the playing field and off affects performance, Rae’von is obsessed with providing mental skills and strategies that enhance performance on the field and in life.
Rae’von intends to complete her Ph.D, specializing in performance psychology, taking up a special interest and sport and exercise psychology. She loves to try different training programs, reading, playing billiards and bowling during her free time.
