Joshua Hack
Joshua Hack, a Cypress, Texas native, has been deeply involved in both team and individual sports from a young age. This passion for athletics fostered a profound understanding of the human body and the resilience required to overcome injuries. After graduating from Cypress Ridge High School, Josh pursued his interest in human anatomy by earning a B.S. in Exercise and Sports Science from Texas State University.
Instead of following a traditional career path in physical therapy, Josh embarked on a transformative journey that took him across 18 countries over three and a half years. His global adventure began with a ski/snowboard season in Japan and expanded into various professional roles, including working as a sous chef in Japan and teaching biomechanics in Indonesia. Along the way, he earned a 200-hour yoga teacher certification through health and wellness workshops, further broadening his expertise.
Josh’s global experiences led him to pursue an M.S. in Exercise Science from California University of Pennsylvania. Armed with this advanced degree, he accumulated extensive professional experience in strength and conditioning, rehabilitation, sports science, data collection, and analytics. His most recent role was as the High-Performance Coordinator for the Sun Valley Ski Academy and Sun Valley Ski Club (SVSEF), a prestigious Gold Certified Club and High-Performance Center. There, he collaborated with U.S. Ski & Snowboard, gaining deeper insights into National High-Performance Frameworks and the Long-Term Athletic Development (LTAD) model.
In June 2024, Josh joined Athlete Training and Health (ATH) as the Athletic Performance Director. He is deeply impressed by ATH’s commitment to excellence and innovation in athletic performance, which aligns perfectly with his professional values. Josh is excited to contribute to ATH’s culture of growth and achievement.
Beyond his professional life, Josh is a proud husband to his gorgeous wife, Renee, and a loving father to their son, Liam. In his downtime, he continues to fuel his passion for action sports, participating in activities such as snowboarding, BMX riding, wakeboarding, and skydiving.
