Rylie Smith
My name is Rylie Smith, I am from Tyler, Texas. I was a Baylor Track and Field athlete where I Pole Vaulted and threw the Javelin. I earned a B.S. in Health, Kinesiology, and Leisure studies from Baylor University, and a M.S. in Sport Pedagogy also from Baylor. My work experience includes working at APEC (an elite training facility in Tyler and Fort Worth founded by Bobby Stroupe). I interned with the TCU Football Human Performance program in the summer of 2023. I was a graduate assistant for the Health, Human Performance, and Recreation Department at Baylor teaching volleyball and softball. I interned with Baylor’s Human Performance program where I worked with the Softball, Baseball, Track and Field, Cross Country, Golf, and Equestrian teams. I believe that God uses circumstances in our lives to grow and build us. Because of my own experience with a sport-related ACL and Lateral Meniscus injury in high school. I have valuable insight that I use to help others be the best athletes they can be even when going through adversity and hardship. In my free time, I enjoy playing with my dog and being with family and friends.
