Jeff Schuh, originally from Issaquah, WA joined Athlete Training + Health in 2017 as a Senior Performance Coach before becoming the Athletic Performance Director at the South Houston training center. Jeff is primarily responsible for the development of training systems and professional growth of performance coaches at ATH South Houston.
From 2012 to 2017 Jeff was the Assistant Director for Sports Performance at the University of Houston working with Football, Women’s Soccer, Tennis, and Softball, as well as Track & Field where he worked alongside coaches Carl Lewis and Leroy Burrell. Prior to his stint at UH Jeff was a Graduate Assistant Strength & Conditioning Coach at Texas A&M University – Corpus Christi where he assisted with all sports. Before coaching at TAMUCC Jeff was a Student Coach for Washington State University, where he assisted with Football, Baseball, Soccer, Volleyball, and Men’s and Women’s Basketball.
Jeff earned his B.S. in Kinesiology from Washington State University before completing his M.S. in Kinesiology from Texas A&M University – Corpus Christi. Jeff is a Certified Strength Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) by the National Strength & Conditioning Association (NSCA). He also became Strength & Conditioning Coach Certified (SCCC) through the Collegiate Strength & Conditioning Coaches Association (CSCCa) and is a Sport Performance Coach through USA Weightlifting. Jeff, his wife Katie and son Luke reside in Richmond. When not spending time with his family, Jeff enjoys fishing and a good kickball tournament.
