Brooks Barron is from Birmingham AL and graduated from John Carroll High School as an All-State Football Player receiving honors in 3 different positions. He started as a graduate strength coach at Jacksonville State University before moving to teach and coach at the high school level. Brooks is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) from the National Strength and Conditioning Association and on the Alabama Board for the NSCA. Sr. Performance Coach
Jeff Schuh (pronounced “Shoe’) joins Athlete Training and Health after serving as the Assistant Director of Sports Performance at the University of Houston. In his time at UH, Jeff worked with Track & Field, Soccer, Football, Tennis, Volleyball, Tennis, and Basketball. Schuh received his Master’s degree in Kinesiology from Texas A&M-Corpus Christi in 2012, where he was the Graduate Assistant Strength & Conditioning Coach. Blaine Schmidt, a former Division II collegiate, student-athlete, is from Gettysburg, South Dakota. Blaine graduated with Honors from Northern State University with a degree in Human Performance and Fitness and minor in Coaching. While there, he spent some time working as an intern with the Athletic Trainers. Blaine was also awarded the NSIC All Academic Team all 4 years at NSU.
Prior to joining the Athlete Training and Health staff, Blaine developed a Summer Strength and Conditioning program for athletes in grades 7-12 at three high schools located in South Dakota.Learn More
